(Title should be written out)

Doctors Mark and Julia Smith
or
Doctor Mark Smith and
Doctor Julia Jones

. If a wife and husband are both doctors, the outer and inner envelopes should be addressed to: 'The Doctors Rosenthal.' It's that simple! If they're married but have different last names, list both names in alphabetical order on separate lines: 'Dr. Rosenthal' followed by 'Dr. Schwartz'.

Great question! Didn't even think about this.

I was going to put Dr. and Mrs. John Smith and not put the wife's name on it so I thought it wouldn't matter if she is a doctor or not.

For our friends who are unmarried and doctors, I am putting it on 2 lines:

Dr. John Smith
Dr. Jane Doe

do the have the same last name?

I think its Drs Smith

or Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones- but I read you put the woman first. Im not 100% on this.

http://www.foreverwed.com/Invitations/details.htm

it says to address it as:
The Doctors Ann and Joe Smith

I actually just found thi on a couple of other sites and they said the same thing. Im assuming if they have different last names you do:

The Doctors Betty Smith and Joe Adams.

HTH!

Oooh, don't do THAT....
I'm a Dr, and I'd be @#$# if my husbands degree was mentioned, and mine was ignored.... We're all girls here, and I don't have to explain how the professional 'glass ceiling' tends to bump on women's heads..... Ignoring the woman while honoring the man would be a slap in the face.
