there is something about the Inn at NHP and I am trying not to freak, but I haven't heard this - does anyone know anything abou this? I found it on a fluke!! Yikes! TIA . . .

i havent heard that. I wouldn't freak out until you hear something more concrete...this could just be a rumor or wrong information.
i dont think its a bad thing if you call there and just check out the situation. You have every right to question them since you are giving them sooo much money!

I just read it... I don't know if they will tell you the truth over the phone.... if a company files bankruptcy isn't it public knowledge? I would definitely research this A LOT before you give them another penny

I think I'm a little in shock right now . . . I've been dress shopping and every time someone asks me where I'm getting married and I tell them, they say so many brides are getting married there, and they are booking through 2011 already!! How could this be true. I don't think I can call them . . . I'm going to wait it out a bit and see if anyone knows anything on here first.

I highly doubt this.. they have weddings and parties there all the time.. they are always soo busy.. I wouldnt worry at all about this.. It could just be a rumor!! dont worry until u get some facts. :)

I posted this on the '11 board... just bc a company files for b-ruptcy doesn't mean they're going out of business...
I mean granted i don't know if that quells any fears, but thought i'd share that.

honestly there is nooo way there going bankrupt with all the business they do. people are always booking parties and having weddings there. This is the first time i heard anything about this and i wouldnt worry about it.. i mean why would they look into building a hotel right next to it if they have no money.. :)That place is makin a killing... :)

Filing for bankruptcy does not mean that they are out of business. It just means that they are struggling a little. Don't freak just yet, esp. if you heard it on the boards. I have a tendancy of doing that and its a lot of hear say. A company can't outright tell you they followed for bankruptcy. If you do end of up calling them. 100% of the time, they will tell you its gossip. And btw, Newsday.com would have something, even a blurp about it. Trust me. Thats how I found out about one of my jobs in the past....
