Did it depend on the relationship with the person?
I've gotten invites with both ways, and wanted to double check with which one was right...

Re: On the inside envelope...
Ive actually put different ones depending on who it is.... some are Mr. and Mrs. ______ some are Bob and Mary Smith and some are just John and Jane. I based on it how welll I knew the people (but that might not be the proper way to do it... I dont care though lol)

Re: On the inside envelope...
We put first names and last names, more casual than the outside. Oh and for aunts, uncles, grandmas, etc we put 'Aunt Bea and Uncle Joe' etc.

Thats so true. I dont think I would even notice if i was a guest and how the couple wrote my name on the inner envelope. Actually, i would like it w/ our first names, it seems more personal JMO

Re: On the inside envelope...
We kept ours formal and wrote Mr. & Mrs. Jones but my calligrapher said that it's fine to make it more casual depending on your relationship to the person, so writing John and Joan would be good too.
