On the news the other night .... Pregnancy appetite & gender

Did anyone see this? there was an article also in the paper.

They said basically ....

A woman has an increased appetite with a boy. They also said that the increased appetite does not relate to increased weight gain.

In other words, the baby gains the weight, NOT YOU!

This may explain why boys are born on average 3 oz. larger than girls.

Girls I talked to said yes, they had voracious appetite's with their son's, but not necessarily with their daughters.

What's was everyone's experience with this?

Christine, I find this report interesting, but so far, I have nothing to compare my first pregnancy to. I'll have to report back in a few years or so, if I've had another baby by then (provided it's a girl

)

Claud .... did you find that you had a big appetite but didn't gain a lot of weight? I think that's what they were trying to say .... but I understand what you're saying, with nothing to compare it to, its hard to know what a big appetite is!
