Re: On the subject of table numbers...
MarcellaBella - I was thinking the same - about people being blind, and my room is big. I'm just worried that that holder won't hold an 8 * 10 .
I'll just play a bit with it

Re: On the subject of table numbers...
Ok, DUMB question - If I decide to go with regular numbers, do I need to supply the table #'s and frames or does the reception hall? AND even if I go with names, do they supply the frames? HELP- I am so confused!

Re: On the subject of table numbers...
I had 3 x 4 size and they were just fine.. I got the frames at Kohl's and made the numbers on my computer.

Most halls have table numbering devices - a stand, a frame etc. I just decided I didn't like the ones they have. You could definately use theirs

Re: On the subject of table numbers...
many thanks dubliner -i will be sure to check with the hall and see what they have - all these details i would be sure to miss if not for these boards! ps- totally agree with 8X10 - people never can see where their tables are!

Re: On the subject of table numbers...
I bought frames and decorated them with feathers and such.. they are very antique looking.. and I printed up the names on Ivory paper in sloop script.. they look fabulous..
ask your hall...they may have frames for you...mine did...so I used them...5x7

They have frames, but they are gold, and everything else is white or navy.
I'm leaning towards 5 * 7

Re: On the subject of table numbers...
stupid questions, but don't soem halls give you the #'s??
(although i like the frame idea - maybe I can incoproate it a s a dj thign where one person from each table gets to take it home, kinda like the centerpiece?? - and whomever 'wins' it then takes a pic with me and fh for us to send later???? - bad idea or good??)
i'm tired so let me know if that babble doesn't make sense!

Re: On the subject of table numbers...
I purchased 5x7 Silver Pewter Frames from Odd Job.
I think 5x7 wille fine. I went to a wedding in a huge ballroom where they used 5x7 and I was able to find my table and so were many others.
PSCHICA, I am planning on giving away the frames as well as the centerpiece. I am not sure how yet.
You do not have to make your own table #'s but I wanted to personalize things more.

Do you see these in the new Martha Stewart Weddings? I think they are cute:
