On the topic of cookware...

Original post by KimberlyBride

I am seriously kicking myself for getting stainless and not non-stick cookware. Stainless is a complete pain to clean, especially eggs! I wish I had read on LIW about the problems with stainless before getting it. So future brides - get non stick. I even went and got a non-stick pan I use for eggs and other stuff. I couldn't take it anymore. Cracks me up because I have this really nice stainless set but I am happier using my $19.99 non-stick pan!

And when I was at my friends house who just got married - she had stainless and was hiding her non-stick pan for eggs!

Ohh those eggs are getting happy!

I don't know about you, but where I come from, the eggs don't come seasoned!

For those of you with stainless, can I make a suggestion? I have an electric griddle and I use it almost more than my stove. It folds up, so it easily stores. It has temp controls for 200-400. And I cook just about everything on it. Eggs, pancakes, hot sandwiches, grilled cheeses. You can easily get one under $50 and its definitely well worth it since you can cook a couple of things at a time. Just thought I'd share!!

I use my stainless for everything except eggs. I find that non-stick cooking spray doesn't coat enough for my eggs..I prefer not to fight with them.

So I'm with you guys about the eggs..sorry Lori!

Re: On the topic of cookware...

Sorry - A&S is the best bagel store there ever was. It is located in Franklin Square and Lori lives there and you know I used to live there. Kara too also lived in FS so we are both going through A&S withdrawl because where I live the bagels seriously lack taste and fluffiness like A&S has. So Lori likes to rub in the fact she lives close to them.

And what makes it worse is I am on low carb program and can't even eat a bagel period.

Ok low heat - how long are we cooking the eggs for? I like to cook and be done

I FINALLY get on (I mean sneak on) to LIW at work and you girls have me rolling!!!

BTW- be careful with the nonstick cookware- DH ruined some of my pans by using forks or other things that scratched the bottom. Once that happens, bits of the pan can wind up in your food. He either did it by accident, or so he can secure him NOT cooking!
