The contractor who started construction on my mom's house 2 years ago is still not finished. He has informed me it will not be finished for my wedding. I don't know why he is doing this to us, (he sends one guy once a week and when my mom calls to say that it is not acceptable he doesn't send him at all and knows full well about my wedding.) I hate feeling threatened by someone who is using my wedding as leverage. what kills me is, he tell us that he has other jobs. As if we are supposed to care after 2 years!!! (3 months maybe but 2 years!!!) We have been living in a mess for two years and the pictures at my mom's house are now limited, if even possible.
They have not done what they were supposed to do and what they did do, has been done poorly. My mom's contract called for a wood floor and he laid pergo. 3 months of arguing with him that it is not the same (yes, we had to explain to him that it is not the same) and he finally installed the floor 2 weeks ago. (small progress) but now, the house is not painted or sanded (we paid him for that) and I have been trying to paint over unsanded spackle which comes out lumpy. It looks terrible.
I am frantically trying to get small sections in order for my pictures. What kills me is, he can totally do this. There is no consequence for him not too- he has no ethical liability to do good work or to finish in a reasonable amount of time. There is no county office that monitors this; I mean at one point, he didn't show up for 3 months straight! I am just so disgusted right now. Plus I am home sick today, with a throat infection and can't do too much except let this plague me...I am so angry and devasted..
Thanks for listening, sorry so long.

Re: On the verge of tears
Thank you, girls I truly appreciate your support. Once he finishes a few more things I am going to file complaints everywhere. I think I may even write my congressman. Thank you again for listening to me vent, it's just such an added stress.

Re: On the verge of tears
Sounds like a contractor my friend's mom hired. Not only did he not bother to finish but it cost her a buttload to hire a new crew to undo all the mistakes he made
There's probably nothing you can do at this point (although you do still have time to paint) so I would suggest close-ups inside and get more shots taken outside in the yard.
