What do you do? FH b day is next Friday (lucky me ) ANYWAY, his mother always has a family party for him on his birthday! I feel like I can never do anything nice for him, because it's all covered. Dinner, cake, everything!! I was wondering if everyone FHs mom till has family parties for their 28 year old son? I was thinking of maybe doing something for him on the 22nd (jus me and him) but I'm not sure when he'll be home....

FH and his family usually just go out to eat for anyone's b-day. If I wanted to go away with him or do our own thing he'd just tell his mom to postpone the meal. 28 is a little old for a party but at least your FMIL has a good relationship with him. See if there is anything that he would want to do that can be special with just the two of you!
