One big deed is done!

Hello ladies! I haven't really posted in a few days. I've been really busy at work and trying to take care of some things.

I finally went to DMV yesterday on my lunch and changed my name! It's weird to see my temporary license with a new name on it (I hyphenated). But at least that's done! Now I have to get to SS.

We also did our taxes. DH is getting a nice refund while I have to pay stupid state taxes because my last job didn't withhold enough (even though I told them to). With the little money that I did get from federal, I am hoping to throw DH a surprise 30th birthday party. My older sister's FIL's offered their house to me in Long Beach, so I may use that. Otherwise I am going to check out some restaurants on the Nautical Mile or the KOC in Oceanside.

that is great news Hollie! You are now an 'official' married lady!!! I can't wait to get my 'shorter' name!!!

I am in the same boat as you, I have to pay the state but I already got my federal return back (sent it in Feb 16)!!!

I am not paying the state until April 13th! They can wait!

Thanks darling. His b'day is June 26th. Unfortunately, we'll be doing the American Cancer Society Relay for Life the weekend before his birthday and then the following weekend is my sister's wedding weekend. So it has to be earlier.
