one great professional reference down, 1 to go
so I was contacted by a company i've wanted to work for for quite some time re: a management position and they are still waiting on one professional reference. the one they called just called me to let me know it went very well and to wish me luck.
only problem is one of the references of the 2 they can choose from is my current boss...and as you all know...my current boss really has it in for me. my current boss swore up and down that she's not the kind of person who would give a negative reference just because its not working out with us...and as much as i think she wants me gone...i can't help but wonder if her sick, miserable, twisted self would say something negative just to make my life as miserable as hers.
a little update : associates have told me that she has been having her friends come in and spy on me. The other day an associate asked when the next person was coming in and i answered her...well a 'customer' (her friend) overheard me answer the associate and then the associate said 'well thats not right' (because they always understaff my shifts and then tell me i'm not measuring up) and i said to the associate 'i don't make the schedule, I just work around it'. and the manager tells me 'i got a complaint about that and i had to stop the customer from going to corporate.
GOING TO CORPORATE FOR WHAT?!?! BECAUSE WE WERE FIGURING OUT OUR COVERAGE FOR THE DAY?!?! then come to find out that an associate overheard the manager talking to the lady and it was one of the managers friends and they were gossiping.
I am sooooo at wits end.
