one last invite question...too early to mail invites??
do you think sending them out 3 months in advance is too early?? we would like to get to our 'b' list if need be.....

Marie, I don't think so. In getting my planning timeline together, I am anticipating sending invites w/i a 3 week period, taking into acct that FMIL has a history of LATENESS when it comes to invites. For FH's brother's wedding, she was still giving him address 3 weeks before the wedding!!!!!!!
Here is my timeline: Wedding: June 25 RSVP: May 21 (would have done the week after, but that's Memorial Day weekend) Mail: March 16 (some the week before and some the week after)

yes only b/c people might put the invites aside and forget about them if they're mailed out too early.
we're mailing them out end of june (about 9 weeks before the wedding, which i think is early too, but i have a holiday weekend wedding.)

I would say yes only if its a holiday weekend. If its not then I would say 2-2 1/2 months before.

That's a hard one. I don't think its too early but I think you will find that for the most part, people will wait until the rsvp date no matter how much time you give them to respond so I'm not sure that it would matter whether you gave them 2 or 3 months.

no i plan on sending mine 3 months in advance all of my family/guests are from oot, plus we are getting married near holidays so we want to give them enough time to plan!

My invites just went out for my September 2 wedding. Labor day Friday! Let the madness begin!!!

I think it is a little too early. I have found that even though I sent most of my out about 2- 21/2 monts before my rsvp date so i could invite some others who I wanted to invite, but didn't have the room, people are really slow at sending them back. Unless you are putting an early rsvp date on them i would wait.
