FFIL is getting worse. He's been in the hospital for a couple of days. Now he has pneumonia and is on a ventilator.
I have this terrible feeling in my gut he is not coming home. Ever. I know it is a terrible way to think, but it just seems like everything keeps getting worse and worse.

Thanks ladies. Every one I've even known who has gone to the hospital has never come home once diagnosed with pneumonia. It's like a death sentence. He's already immobilized and nothing was making him better the past 4 days.
God, I really don't know what to think.

try and stay strong and think positive.... I know it sounds impossible sometimes but really you have to believe... My prayers are with you and your family...

my prayers are with you and Fh i hope he gets better,.... you never know girl.. i work at a hospital and sometimes patients look so bad and then bam they are all better ... i hope your ffil gets well and soon....

Don't give up hope!!! He could always turn it around...just make sure you send him all the love you can...I'll be praying for him!

Thanks so much. I haven't given up, but I think it is really bad. FH still thinks his dad is fine and is going to be coming home soon. I really don't know what to say to him.
