do you put all your names and addresses on microsoft word, or what program do you use?

I made a chart in Excel. And from my Excel chart I copied and pasted the names/addresses into my envelope MS Word document (since I was doing my envelopes myself)

i stored all info in an Access database and used the mail merge function in Word...
