Severe Weather Alert from the National Weather Service

NY-ROCKLAND NY-SOUTHEAST SUFFOLK NY- SOUTHERN FAIRFIELD CT-SOUTHERN MIDDLESEX CT-SOUTHERN NEW HAVEN CT- SOUTHERN NEW LONDON CT-SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER NY-SOUTHWEST SUFFOLK NY- UNION NJ-WESTERN PASSAIC NJ- 548 AM EST THU DEC 4 2003
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP EARLY FRIDAY ACROSS THE TRI-STATE AREA. THE SNOW MAY ACCUMULATE AROUND TWO INCHES OR SO BEFORE TAPERING OFF FRIDAY EVENING. A CHANGE IN THE TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM COULD BRING A FEW MORE INCHES OF SNOW TO THE LOCAL AREA.

ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP TO OUR SOUTH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. THIS SYSTEM COULD RESULT IN A MUCH MORE SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL FROM EARLY SATURDAY THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY DEPENDING ON THE TRACK.

MINOR TO MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING MAY BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT DEPENDING ON THE TRACK OF THE STORM SYSTEM.

Christmas lights, budling up, drinking hot chocolate while looking for that perfect real tree.. Christmas in the City is very pretty.. Macys christmas window dispays.. Buying presents for everyone I love.. Watching frank open his presents Christmas morning..
White Christmas's ...The way my moms house looks during winter time with all the beautiful decorations.. Chritmas eve with 32 family members at the table...My birthday!

I like the smell of the neighborhood fireplaces...mulling spices on the stove...evergreen's...twinkling white lights...and Quattro, baby!! Snow is laughable with Quattro.

I agree I love all the lights and decorations, the smell of fireplaces and all the holiday cheer. I just HATE that white stuff!!! Personally I think Ron should ban that word and allow us to say sh1t!

I am with you Suzanne, another snow lover here too!! Everything should be white in December! I love going out and looking at lights, sitting watching TV with only the glow of our Christmas tree, drinking hot chocolate, playing in the snow, walking in it, love that sound!!!

Best is that I married a man who loves this season as much as I do!!!

Guess I better change my avatar for those who hate snow! I love snow. The problem on LI and even in NYC is that the snow removal stinks!!! I am lucky if my street gets plowed and sanded even once and I live on a steep hill!! . It makes driving a biatch.

We were in New Hampshire during a big snow storm a couple of years ago and by the the next morning the roads were clean..no snow, no ice, just nice clear pavement. They know how to get rid of the stuff and they don't pay anywhere near the taxes there that we do here. Ridiculous!
