One more Question....those that chose No D & C

...I'm cramping and bleeding now...how long will it last?

When did the cramping start? What day did the brown bleeding start? The cramping will get real bad ( but should not be unbearable) It should get no worse then say double a a bad period. The bleeding , if it gets heavy can last a while. If I remember correctly, mine lasted very heavy for about 3 days and that was about 2 days after the start of the MC and then it slowed a lot but lasted about a week...a little heavier then spotting.

I would say the worst of it lasts no more then 2-5 days.

ever so slight cramping last night, MAJOR cramping today

brown blood happened a week ago friday (10 days ago-Dec 10) while I was in NY

This is probably the end of it then , from what I have experienced. I dont think your cramping will last more then another 2-3 days tops and you shouldnt have more then 1-2 days of bad cramping. IT's just your uterus contracting back to normal size.

I started to bleed on March 6 brown blood with cramps. The cramps got worse and so did the passing of clots (TMI) sorry. Then on March 14th it all stopped and it was over.

Are you bleeding red yet?

Karen,

there were some red spots in the brown last night but it's still brown, maybe it's just really dark red..... there have been some small clots and as the U/S tech called it 'stringy blood'

That is most likely the fetal tissue passing. When I had mine I had one large clot and the bleeding stopped. Is it heavy like a period?

comes and goes in spurts more than a steady bleeding.....like this morning when I woke up, nothing.....take a shower and walk dog...heavy spotting.

Have u/s and come home and the cramps got progressively stronger as the afternoon went on

That's how it was for me... nothing steady just sporadic during the day. Then I got some really awful cramps and a few hours later it came out. For me, the bleeding pretty much stopped after that and just became spotting, but I think it depends on how far along you were. Because you were a little further along, you may experience longer bleeding - can last up to 1-2 weeks.

Mine and went in spurts. I had a few days of very heavy bleeding. Then it got clotty. Then I bled on and off I think I was done in about a week and a half.

When I was at that point I needed to wait a little longer for the heavy bleeding so start.

karen, thanks for all your input....

as the afternoon progressed into the evening the bleeding got heavier and definitely red....cramping is still pretty bad too, even with some Advil. Oy!
