I know she has a good reason. She's giving a talk on the Monday after that is really important. But, she knew about the shower for a couple of months. And she's telling me now, 11 days before that she cant' come. I'm just really disappointed.

I know how you feel Beth, one of my BMs was sick that day and couldn't come to my shower. I missed having her and was disappointed that she wasn't there too. But there will be so many other people at your shower that you'll still have a wonderful time!!

Beth I know its disappointing...you just hope that all the people you care for & love are there for you during this special time. A few of my oldest/closest friends are unable to attend my shower/bachelorette party

i know how you feel. one of my bm's didnt come to my shower either. i'm sorry, but she knew 6 months in advance and i think it is un excusable.
She goes to school in boston -- but still it is a 2 and a half hour drive. another one of my bm's came home from va just to come to my shower.
people really show there true colors.. very annoying.

one of mine isn't either...she lives out of town, but she gave everyone the impression that she was coming, so much so that the shower was planned around her! Now she says she is going to Vegas and won't be home until that Sunday....I am pretty disapppointed.

that stinks!! one of my BMs left my shower early, when i was in the middle of opening presents... because she was having dinner for her FIs birthday!!!! what??!? like that couldn't wait an hour??? she had PLENTY of time to plan fot that! it was just so hurtful because her shower was a month before mine and i did soo much for it- unfortunately, with things like this you really find out who your true friends are.... but , just enjoy the day with everyone who is there for you! it'll still be beautiful!

Awww, Beth, I'm sorry. At least she has a good reason, instead of just not feeling up to it, and she gave you notice instead of just not showing up. I know that doesn't help with the disappointment, but it could have been worse.
