One of my BM's just ruined my shower surpriseUpdate

So we work together and she just came in and said .....guess what i just got ur shower invite in the mail ...and whose house are they having it at because it didnt say a name !

so now i know that its coming in the next couple of months and the only place it could be is at my mom's house because she has a huge backyard!

ughhhhhhhhh

************ok so I just dont get it ...last night when i got home from work about 4 people called me to tell me how beautiful my shower invites are!!! umm hellooooo

Why are people so dumb sometimes!!! I'm sorry. At least you don't know the exact date.

I told everyone I know about the shower and they still don't want to talk to me about it b/c my friends and family want me to be surprised about all the details.

Well think of it this way....it stinks but 'you know it's coming in a couple of months' really didn't give it away. Yes it stinks she opened her mouth but didn't you know at some point you'd be having a shower? In the few months before your wedding? Try not to be too mad. Surprises are hard!

Well - I'm not sure how often you go to your Mom's house, but if you go often, you still don't know when it is.

Sorry though, I don't get why some people feel the need to blurt that out.

She really didn't ruin it...She just didn't keep the entire thing a secret. As some of the other girls have said, she certainly didn't tell you the date so that's still a surprise.

If it makes you feel any better...My mom, who tells me everything, slipped and told me my shower date! lol She was sick over it and told me she changed it (which Im not sure she actually did). It happens and is only a party. Once you're there, at your shower, you'll have an amazing time.

i know ....but i know my MOH has been working so hard to keep it a secret

I am sure i will know becasue I am always there ...but it is gonna be great and I really cant wait!

I'm sorry that happened and that she ruined the suprise for you..but I agree with the other girls; it's not totally ruined yet! You don't know the date so hopefully they will still be able to surprise you..at least a little bit!

Well the same thing kinda happened to me. I saw one of my cousins on sunday and she told me she went to BBB to get my registry gift cause it's coming up really soon. I just ignored her.

FH ruined the surprise for me the other day. He wanted me to add something for him in his day planner and there it was, the first Saturday in May.

I don't mind that he ruined it though. I hate surprises.

I'm sorry that the surprise was ruined for you though. I'm sure that some of it will be a surprise though. Like the guests that will be there and the presents and of course the food.
