One of those weeks?

Anyone else out there have one of those weeks? TGIF! On top of working, going to school, wedding planning, and life, I registered for my History comps to be taken on Dec 1. I have to pass them to get my degree. It's a 3 hour essay test based on two of the courses you have taken. My advisor, also chair of the department, is making me use Medieval History as one of the courses. I was literally in tears about this last night. That was the worst class I have taken here, the professor was terrible, and I do not remember anything since I took it a year ago. I am so upset. I put a call into the Dean today to see if there is anything I can do to change this. I spoke to two of my friends who had been in the course with me and both feel that they would not be able to pass it either - which says something about the course and the professor. Worse case, I will have to teach it to myself and hope for the best but I feel very upset and anxious about this.

Try not the stress about it. I am in the same boat you are with school!!! Just think positive thoughts and try to prepare yourself the best you can. I am sure you will do fine.

hi. Sorry to hear that you're having a bad week - I took my Phd comps/orals in 2002 and one of my 3 sections was Medieval. It wasnt a history exam - I'm getting a degree in Theatre history/dramatic literature - but if you need to talk to anyone to go over dates and major people, feel free to FM me.
