One or two photographers??

One or two photographers??

I met with two photography companies I really liked. They both mentioned how most people prefer two photographers. One to shoot main pics and one to shoot photojournalistic style. One company I met with that I loved offers a main photographer who also shoots in photojournalistic style but you can also get a second photographer for more money. How many brides have gone with just one photographer? And did the pics come out great? If so please let me know who you used. I really loved Twelfth Night!

We used 12th night and had two photographers. We could not be happier with our pictures. We were really glad that we got the 2nd photographer. He caught a lot of beautiful candid shots.

I struggled with this same issue. I ended up going with one photographer with the option to add-on another for additional money. AFter I booked the package, I freaked and decided I had to have 2 photographers. My photographer talked me out of it, saying it wasn't necessary b/c she is capable of doing both and said to wait until I got my e-pics back to make the decision. She was totally right. She did both very well.

I am having 2 photographers but not from the same company. One is from patken, the other is my BM's cousin who is a photography/art major in college. She is going to do all candid/photojournalistic shots, a lot of b&w, etc. She's even coming the night before the wedding to take pictures of me with the bridal party and my mom just chillen :) She's not a full-time photog, still a student, but I'm excited b/c she's very artistic!

With my photographer, its automatically 2 photographers included in my package. I think this this great bec 2 can capture every moment when you least expect it so the pics will come out great. Check out Thomas Paul!!!!!!!!!

I have the option to do the second, which I think I will do. Not only will I hopefully get better party pics, but we also have so much family (7 parents! ) that the family posed portraits will take forever with just one.

Same here.

I was on the fence at first between one and two photographers. The price difference, in the grand scheme of things, was minor and my mom reminded me that the actual wedding is just one day but the pictures are what you have forever.

We are using 2 photographers - one as the main photographer and the second photographer to catch all of the action while the main photographer is busy with something else.
