One or Two Photographers?
I'm currently e-mailing back and forth with a photography studio to get an idea of pricing and they asked if I was interested in one or two photographers. I always assumed 2 was the norm, but has anyone had one photographer and been satisfied? Also, the studio I am talking with is Exo Photography, so if you have any experience with them, I'd love to hear about it!! Thanks!

We're going with one photographer (the owner of the company) - I've got 30days to go, so I can let you know how things went

For me 2 photogs was a must. Unless your getting ready at a hotel (and even then its a stretch) there wont be any pictures of your Groom, Groomsmen, or FILS.

They also might recommend one or two photographers based on how large your wedding is! If you have a larger wedding, you'll need to to make sure you capture every moment!

Re: One or Two Photographers?
Yeah - I agree you have to take into consideration the size of the event, bridal party, and where you are getting ready. We only have 5BM and 4GM - guest list of 110ppl. Not to mention, FH and I are both getting ready at the Inn at Fox Hollow, so our photographer doesn't have too difficult a time getting the 'getting ready' pics from both of us.

For me having two was a must! But FH and I will both be getting ready in two different places and our guest list is well over 200.. I also like the idea of two different perspectives (or two different styles of photography), and that there will less of the wedding to miss if two or three photographers are covering the day

Re: One or Two Photographers?
We are having two. I like having two sets of pro eyes at my wedding. I don't want to look back and wish my photographer had captured a certain moment. There's only so many places they can be at once - even though they are pro's, they're still human!

I agree with al the girls here. Just take into account the size of your wedding party and the logistics of everything, like wether you two will be getting ready at separate locations, then a second shooter would be an asset to you. A second shooter can be great during the ceremony, especially when you’re in a church that restricts the photographer’s movement. With two cameras you get two perspectives. One focuses on you while the other is focused on your FH. One captures a wide shot of the scene while the other is up front snapping shots of your dad tearing up. That sort of thing. We opted for 2 simply bc of how large our party is-11 BMs and 8 groomsmen. But I've had friends with one photog and they were more than satisfied. It all depends on you. If anything, give your photog a list of 'must have' photos, in addition to shooting candids.

This! Except we're only having about 130!

Thank you everyone! I think two makes more sense for us- we will have ~150 guests, getting ready in two separate places, getting married at church and then having a reception...just seems more efficient :)

11 BMs!!! OMG! I'm worried about 6 being too many!

We're having 2. I like that we'll be able to have two different styles, aspects of the day as well as having enough coverage of us both getting ready.

Lol I know, its excessive! There was really no way around it though. I have 5 sisters and I had to include my best friends/FH's sister. But they're all great girls and super fun, so thats who I want to surround myself with since I'm a naturally angsty person. lol
