I am contemplating adding an additional photographer to my package. It is an extra $700 and I am not sure if it is worth it. I want a great selection of pictures (I especially love candids and black and whites). I don't know what to do. Any suggestions would be wonderful.

If you could afford it, go for two. We couldn't afford the 2 but our photographer is doing a few rolls of b&w pictures for us instead. So I'm very happy about that. I love the black and white pictures!

My photographer comes with an assistant who also takes pictures. It is nice to have two photographers, if you have it in your budget go for it.

Our photographer has 3 cameras loaded with 3 diff types of film (color, b&w and specialty)and an assistant to switch back and forth between them. If you can't get your 1 photographer to have diff camera w/ diff films and can afford it, I say go with 2 photographers. Or inquire about changing color shots to B&W after you get the proofs back.

Definitely 2!!!! We actually hired 2 then the assistant is in training and shot some and then the owner came and shot some. We have a zillion proofs. 2 photographers have 2 different styles and can take all different shots.

I think it depends on how many guests at your wedding. If you don't have a lot of guests I don't think two photographers is necessary. If your photographer is using a digital camera they can make any picture black and white, sepia, etc.

I don't agree! My photographer's took mainly shots of us not our guests and they took so many different angles and they both had a different perspective. It depends on how into the photography you are. It was a huge deal to me so I did not want a moment missed.

I would go for it, usually the 2nd photographer focuses on black and white and photojournalistic. You'll get 2 angles and points of view on every event! Also, it's like hiring a whole other photogrpaher, but ti doesn't double the price. I'm definitely doing it!

It depends... Does your photographer have an assistant? If so, will they be taking any pictures? If the assistant will also be taking pictures, I don't think you need another photographer but if the assistant isn't , then you may.

I have two and I think it is definitely the way to go if you have enough $$$ the second photographer is going to be taking pictures of the guys getting ready while the other one is with us.
