One piece of advice

I said I wasnt going to write about this but someone else had brought it up to me and I wanted to pass it along to everyone about a month before my wedding a 'bride' on this board began to make threatening statements to me concernign something she accused me of doing0--it was completely ridiculous until she threatened to come to my wedding -- my warning is try to keep the info in your profiles general--meaning the dates and times-- am not suggesting that we dont share info on vendors and such--because i have gotten numerous suggestions from many of you--but remember that there are some crazy people out there-- ok my lecture is over ;-) Laura

Good words of advice. We do have to watch out for ourselves, and it's nice to know we can watch out for each other. It's a shame that it's come to that. I hope that you had a pleasant wedding, and that this didn't spoil it.

I am surprised that LIweddings didn't put a stop to the threats! I'm so sorry to hear that something like that happened. Goes to show what happens when you just get too comfortable.

I agree! Never know who is lurking. I didn`t even post our date, just the location. Sad to say, but you gotta be careful with what info you offer to others. You think you`re being nice and helpful, but just remember to be on guard and watch your back!

go to 'create profile' then 'login' on your left. type in your username and password and then a page comes up where you can edit your profile!

One piece of advice

It also is a good idea to have someone watch your home the night of your wedding since the bands of marriage are announced a week before a wedding in church. There are people who pray on that like funerals and know the house will be empty. I agree w/ Laura keep your info general even in public wedding annoucements....the exact date is not necessary. Give church info after the wedding.
