i totally agree about not having a video... its a must for us... Past Brides - Any regrets after the big day???

It's so funny you posted this because my fiance and I were literally just debating whether to hire a videographer. He's all for it, but I'm second guessing it because I figure the pics will be enough. Now he's like 'You see, I'm not the only one who thinks it's important!' lol.

I regret that I never even SAW the vast majority of food during our cocktail hour, let alone ate any...

awwww.. this is not the first time i heard this... its a very quick day... my bff who recently got married at CHCC said that the RH can pack up your food so you and FH can have it the day after.

Not 1 regret and if I could do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing!

We actually got a smaller photo package so that we were able to get the videographer we wanted, Pennyland Productions. Video gives you a chance to see things you may have missed or to watch how much fun people had and even better to see grandma shaking it on the dance floor! One of my coworkers got married last summer and didn't get a videographer. She ended up hating every single one of her pictures and says thats the one things she regrets because now she has no visual memories from her wedding. None of us have actually even seen her album because she hates the pics that much! I always tell people this story because I wouldn't want it to happen to anyone! It's your day, the last thing you want is to have regrets!

I regret not letting my mom buy me pair of Manolos. The blue SATC Manolos like Kerri wore for her wedding. She had the money put aside for them but I felt bad taking it knowing they paid for everything else. KWIM. If I could do it again I would have gotten the shoes. It was the winter & it snowed & I wore Uggs for part of the night for photos outside, but I still would have had them for inside, church, etc.. So I also regret wearing ivory shoes, I so should have worn color.

my coworker did that the same.. she regretted paying $6k for invite but not video.. and now she has two babygirls (1yrs) and they wont see mommy's 1st dance.. I LOVE PENNYLANE.. i wish i could afford them!! sighhhh

The music director (singer) at the church was a no show! No call - nothing. Thankfully I had an organist as well. But if I had to do it over again, I would have hired an outside person (instead of using the church's) and definitely made a followup call a few days before to confirm everything. My entire life I wanted Ave Maria sung at my wedding and it kills me that I didn't get to hear it. My day was beautiful so I can't complain - worse things could have happened. But it bothers me still. I can't say it enough - confirm calls and double confirm calls for people you don't have a 'contract' with.

I regret not having a logistics plan for everything...I was in a rush that morning and I wish I wasnt. I also wish I had a person there to take care of things that morning after th DOC left to setup the RH.

I regret not having a 'must take photos' list - even if it was just in my head. I love my photos but there are some shots (like me with just my aunts) that I wish I had.

I regret it didn't last longer...

As far as the video, still waiting anxiously for mine..there is so much of the wedding that I didn't get to take part in because I was enjoying myself so much..like seeing all the food, I didn't even get a chance to talk to everyone at the wedding. Video will let me see what everyone was enjoying.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND even if you do a cheap one
