I was at a wedding where Chazam dancers were mimes moving around and jumping off the tables and doing flips..

It was GREAT!! Maybe we will use them too.. I like MIMES..

My parents went to a wedding where they had circus animals there!

The band at my friend Alison's wedding. We didn't want them to stop - literally we were all chanting 'One more song.'

My cousins - the booze...we got sooo wasted b/c the DJ ****ed and wound up having a fantastic time!!

My freind Kita's - the cops...they broke up the reception due to a noise ordinance. But I also remember it was one of the most beautiful weddings, right on the water in Annapolis and we just moved the party to a bar.

I remember when a wedding is BORING... I went a a wedding of FH's friend, and she had no liquor, no dancing. And nothing to make up for it, like a fun MC, just plain and boring. Her hall went to waste. It had a beautful big dancefloor and noone allowed to dance. My table was the noisiest table there, and I think they wanted to stone us.

I remember all the weddings Ive been too pretty well. I love them so I remember lots of good stuff about the great ones and lots of bad stuff about the mediocre/terrible ones.

Good ones: great food, great band, beautiful brides, sappy grooms, beautiful flowers, innovative favors, pretty much anything

Bad ones: Bad food, not enough food, DJ that can pronounce/remember the couples name, ill fitting gowns, inappropriate behavior, tacky decor/favors/customs

I do remember my Matron's wedding, it was beautiful, at Fox Hollow, and I distincly remember how romantic they were. When they were introduced at the reception, they walked into Diamonds and Pearls, and they did this cute romantic stroll, it was different and beautiful

Iwent to a wedding once where they had a whole take out breakfast buffet on the way out, with little bags to fill with bagels donuts, muffins, etc for the next morning. that was years ago but it totally sticks out in my head.

My girlfriend's wedding. They are both really spunky people and great dancers. They were introduced to 'Let's Get Loud' by J-Ho, and broke out in an impromptu dance when they were introduced. They went nuts on the floor. So essentially, their first dance was to 'Let's Get Loud'. (Followed by a quieter sweet dance). It was really really cute.

Edited to add weddings I'd like to forget:

The bride and groom gave the band a set list that was so boring, there were 3 people on the dance floor the whole night. It was just awful. The band would have been great had they not been limited to only Motown music!! It's fun but not for THE WHOLE PARTY.

The cocktail hour at another friends Saturday night wedding had cold cuts and fruit, in a room with all the house lights on, not an ounce of ambiance. It was strange because this was a pretty decent reception hall. At the same wedding, our table was 4 seats too short, and the DJ played every song twice, and ended the night with that Eminem song 'I'm Slim Shady'....

i went to a wedding like that. i mentioned it above. the same wedding where the food was terrible also had loud annoying music. Brian and I got a terrible headache and had to leave early. we got so sick from the food, and the only good thing about it was the cocktail hour and we only liked 1 thing from it.

My cousins's wedding....the band was so loud that people were covering their ears. Many of the older people left early because they couldn't take the noise.

My friend Kathy's wedding.....dj was awful. Our table starting singing tv songs (brady bunch, gilligans island) and we ended up having a blast!

My friend Donna's wedding....best wedding I have every been too. Just the whole thing was wonderful from the food to the flowers to all the people that were there. That was 6 years ago and we still talk about it lol.

food is always a big thing. if the food stinks ppl will think your entire wedding is bad.

My favorite wedding moment was when my friend (the bride) and her dad sang an 'unplugged' duet of 'Save the Last Dance for Me' while he played it on guitar. My friend is a professional singer so it sounded great but it was also really touching.

I always remember great food. At one wedding the Paella was good at the cocktail hour that everyone was going back for seconds and thirds.

Great music is also important.

One of my BMs had kids at her wedding and they were so cute!!!! The took over a whole section of the dance floor and got their party on!!! It was fun to watch them.

One BM is very religious and there was no alcohol and instead of a cocktail hour they pulled out bibles and had a fellowship hour. There were also people walking around the reception with bibles trying to get you to come to their church.

Lastly, my FBIL had a terrible wedding where there was a cash bar, no assigend seating, not enough seating for all guests, and they ran out of food!!!!

Crisco- LOL!!!!!

I remember you telling that story at the GTG!!!

I have been to some interesting weddings in my time.

As long as the food is good and plentiful and music is great- I am happy.

I went to a wedding on a Cruise last summer, beautiful ceremony, however the bride and groom chose not to have a reception, just cake and champagne. I was not pleased. The reason for this was that they felt they should not pay extra for anythting else since we were on a cruise and the food was included. I was not happy. I spent tons of $$$$ to come to your wedding and all I get is cake and a glass of champagne.

I also went to a wedding last year, where the bride and groom did not greet their guests at all. I had to hunt them down to give them their envelope.

One of my BM's got married at George Washington Manor. I swear that the Prime Rib was not only the best food I have ever had at a wedding, it was the best Prime Rib I have ever had, ever! I'll always remember her wedding as having really great food.
