If there was one thing you could change about your wedding, what would it be
(Please don't answer with Nothing, there is always something to change)
me, wish I wouldn't have gone so cheap with my limos

Re: One thing you could change about your wedding
I wish I would've asked someone in DHs family to organize some group pictures and call us over for them, my family had NO problem doing it at all and there are a lot more family pics on my side than his side. I could've easily asked his cousin since she was taking pics with a disposable for his mother. I regret to this day that we didn't get a picture with his grandmother, we did try, she wasn't there when we went over to see her, but, I feel horrible since DH and her are really close.
These are the other things I'd like to change...
I wish I would've given the limo driver preferred directions to use, it took them over an hour to get DH and GMs from hotel to church (it's really only a 25 minute ride, he took Jericho Tpke from Commack to Rte 110 on a Saturday during holiday shopping season).
I would've had my dress bustled a little higher, everytime I stepped backwards when dancing, I stepped on it and it was really annoying.
I would've made sure they did the mother/son and father/daughter dances earlier in the night, they did them just before 11:30!

Re: One thing you could change about your wedding
I would have focused a bit more on me leading up to the wedding, instead of worrying about literally EVERYTHING but. As a result, my dress purchase/fittings, shoes, undergarments, veil, hair and makeup, etc. all became stressful, last minute things to do and not enjoyable ones.
The day of...I would change very little. I would have been more forceful with the not-nice lady at the church who coordinated our rehearsal so that some of my guys would not be confused when they had to walk down the aisle.
I would have remembered to give my photographer the must take list and would have had someone in my family help coordinate the photos. We also missed some photos of DH's friends that I feel bad about.
I wouldn't have gotten upset when my DH's friends trashed our wedding suite...apparently it's a long-standing tradition (that he neglected to tell me about ) and I overreacted.

I would have bustled the gown during CH. My bridal attendant kept telling me I should wait, and it was really annoying carrying the train draped over my arm. I should have been more insistent on that.

Oh Yay! maybe I didn't overreact then I do have to say that they kept the bed perfectly in tact, complete with bottle of champagne and strawberries. If that was not the case, my true bridezilla would have reared it's very ugly, exhausted head.

Videgrapher! long story, but basically i booked one, wasn't happy with it, and due to financial restraints, couldn't afford to change it. not very happy with them so far
this is kind of a silly one, but i wish i would have taken off my veil at the reception or taken more pics of my hair with only my tiara in it. i put the veil on so quick after my hair was done that i never got good pics of the back, and it was so pretty. i wound up just keeping it on all day

I think I would have asked more questions when we were looking for a photographer/videographer. we used the same company for both and we did not get the raw footage of the video. I think I would have added that to the contract.

I would've danced more. I was too worried that I'd upset people if they wanted to talk with me. And everyone talked ALL NIGHT LONG.

Re: One thing you could change about your wedding
I would have changed my officiant. He was like a different person at the wedding from the times we met with him. I also would have remembered to let my parents walk ahead of us so my gown didn't get stepped on and ripped :(
Only other thing I would change is to make sure the guests knew there were after dinner drinks and cigars in the library--most never knew.

1-I wish I would have never let my mother talk me into a cathedral veil--i hated it from te second it was placed on my head.
2-i wish i would have drop kicked my MC after he told me to 'lighten up' about doing a conga line. i was so strict about no organized dances and he really pizzed me off....it is writen all over my face in my video.
3-i wish i would have relieved a BM from being in the wedding. I haven't spoken to her since & it angers me that she is in my pics and viideo.

I wish I didn't: -have mine at the Watermill cause they were horribe -used a different photographer -used a different florist -had it at a different church
I really wish I could have changed almost everything since so much went wrong and so many people were so rude.

On your wish #3 I had the same but on the groom's side.

Re: One thing you could change about your wedding
I would have gotten a less expensive dress. I feel guilty about how much it costs.
If I could change a second thing, it would be to not have stressed about my hair style. I had numerous hair trials, all which cost a fortune, to wind up having a typical bridal up-do on the day of.

Re: One thing you could change about your wedding
I wish I had splurged a little and had my gown custom made. The bridal salon ordered my dress a size too small, then did a botched alterations job, so I had to return it and get a dress made in 3 weeks. 3 weeks was not enough time.
Other than that, I would not have changed a thing.

Re: One thing you could change about your wedding
I have a couple of things, but my main one would have been 'Dancing More'. I didn't get the chance to be on the dance floor as much as I want.
#2 - Given my DJ better instructions when the Grooms cake came out. It wasn't a big deal, but I wanted it to be more special. I also wish I had shopped around more for the DJ. Wasn't that happy with him, but everyone said they had a great time.
#3 - I would have given my photographer a better 'To Take List'. I didn't get as many pictures of my family and more of DH family. They are great pics, but not even. I didn't get shots I had asked for and now it's too late. I probably also would have asked a family member to over see this on each side.
Otherwise everyone had a great time and our pictures are great! And I married the man of my dreams!

Re: One thing you could change about your wedding
switched one important vendor
had my other 2 cousins in my BP and one more friend. i still feel so bad about it, but i already had 7 women and only 5 of 6 guys (can't remember!) so i didn't want it to be too lopsided. what an idiot i was.
i would have not had those last 2 glasses of wine--maybe then i wouldn't have spent half an hour at the end of my wedding hysterically crying over the death of my grandpa
started jenny craig and lost 20 pounds BEFORE the wedding, not AFTER the wedding like i did.
honestly...i changed a lot about my wedding BEFORE my wedding--dress, veils, tiara, church, date, flowers, limo. so i was happy that i made those changes
besides that it was PERFECT!

my photographer, even though they come highly recommended on here I have had nothing but problems with them. I should of went with a different photographer company but i was afraid of language barriers.

Our wedding day was perfect...I probably would have sent ALL invites out at the same time (A&B lists) but that is about it!
