Re: One Year Mark!

Well so far all FH and I did was book the Video and Photography. Tuesday going to Bridal Reflections to start looking for a dress. I have been so busy lately, we are in the process of purchasing a condo that seems like we are never going to close. I do have alot of ideas that I need to put to work. Next weekend I am on the hunt for DJ's.

How about you?

Wow...closing on a condo... you must be crazed!

We've had the band since June, and just booked the videographer today. We should be making a final decision on photography this weekend. I was supposed to begin looking for dresses last week, but then I was called into jury duty, so I'm hoping to begin next week. Bridal Reflections is my first stop as well. I have some appointments with florists later in the month, but right now I really want to get the photography thing out of the way. It's stressing me out!!!!

Closing is so stressful. Good luck! We booked Skyline last week after hearing them at the Hilton showcase- really happy about that! The photographer was done pretty early too and my FMIL is taking care of the florist.
My biggest drama is deciding on BMs- but trying to prolong that as much as possible!
I really hope we have a beautiful day like today!

Re: One Year Mark!

A day like today would be magnificent!!

Are you trying to decide on who to ask to be BM's, or are you having trouble deciding on dresses?

Who to ask, or more who not to ask?
I've already got 5 definites and have another 4 very close friends - known each other since 3rd grade- that come as a package and just think 9 BMs might be a zoo.
Have you guys asked all of your BMs yet?

Yes absolutely crazed! Congrat's on booking the videographer. Who are you using? Jury Duty? Don't they know you are planning a wedding. One thing at a time you will get things done.

Re: One Year Mark!

The whole BM thing was very stressful for me. I asked them all shortly after I got engaged. But I agonzed over a few for a while. I now have 1 MOH, 4 adult BM's, one junior BM, and 2 FG's. More than I had set out to have, but I'm happy with the decision. I need someone to wrangle the kids though. I have no doubt they will be a handful!

pinky: You think Uncle Sam could try to coordinate my civic duties around my wedding planning schedule. Sheesh!!!

We're using the Holder Brothers for video. They're based in Brooklyn, and they are just the coolest people, who do awesome work (for people who are interested in more nontraditional, documentary style work). We fell in love instantly. I'm glad to cross that off the list. Now I just look forward to conquering the photographer challenge!

Re: One Year Mark!

Good luck on choosing your BMs. How many groomsmen do you have? Will it be 9 BMs and a MOH? What ever you decide will be great.

I asked all my BMs. I am having 3 BMs (was originally 4 but one dropped out b/c she don't like to be in bridal parties), 2 Matron of Honors and 1 MOH.
