I'm graduating in April from Ashford University Online.

My friend is getting her Masters from Ashford Online also... When I started in 2006, they had the lowest tuition that i could find... they are an accredited school!

Are they known for certain majors or just anything in general ?

Re: online courses

i can tell you how mine worked which is the reason i chose it

i work 80+ a week so getting classes to fit into my schedule was impossible.

At nichols, you pick your course, and pick a monday. From that monday... you have 15 weeks to do the work. If your done in 4 weeks great, your graded, if it takes you the 15 weeks, thats fine too. I actually had an issue because i would have been re-imbursed by job if i finished before year end, and I spoke with the online prof and she was awesome and busted her butt too and I did all the work in 10 days (i cried and died after) and she graded me before others...

i really thought it was awesome

FM if you have any other questions or if i didnt make sense

All schools are different in terms of scheduling..

Ashord works like this:

5 week courses
Tuesday will always be the first day of each week in the course.
1st Weekly posts are due on Thursdays, you have until Monday to respond to other students, and usually if there is a paper or a test that week it is due on Monday.

Most psychology classes have a 2-3 pg paper due week 2... they also have a final paper draft due week 3, and a final 8-10 page paper due the last day of class.

You can take more than 1 class at a time, but you have to complete a full year i think for your bachelors anyway... not sure about masters...

all the masters classes work the same way...

Congratulations! I wonder if you were in my class. I have been teaching at Ashford for over a year now. I usually teach ENG121.
