It automatically changes the count in your previous posts every time you post another one. (So they all have the same ## on them). This threw me off in the beginning too.
I think it starts going faster (obviously it doesn't, but it certainly feels like it) when your total ## gets higher. I felt like I was at 200 posts for AGES!

Yeah, it took me a while to figure it out. I posted really infrequently in the beginning because I felt like I didn't 'know' anyone, and I didn't want to barge in on other people's posts (I know, totally misses the point of this, but I was new).

I had a really long engagement because when I got engaged, my sister had just set her date for Oct. 2005...I wanted to give her (and my poor father) enough time in between.
