Only me, I tell ya...

I went back to the Dr. this morning so that he could check my stitches again, and found out that the reason I'm not healing well is because it appears that I am ALLERGIC to the stitches. It figures... leave it to me to be the medical freak.

Soooo... today he removed the stitches (some had already disolved) and treated me with some sort of acid film that will promote healing, and I have to go back in 2 weeks to be checked and possibly treated again.

On the plus side, it's nice to know that this is NOT all in my head as some of my family members suggested, but I'm in pain from today's treatment, and THAT is not fun.

Oh my poor friend!!! I am so sorry to hear that you're still in pain. I hope this time whatever he did works and you're on the road to recovery!!!

And BTW, you are not a freak, medical or otherwise!!!

Michele has a latex allergy. I'm just allergic to the actual stitches.

If they added any medical adhesive to your stiches (you should ask about this) then you may have a latex allergy. That is what messes me up...so from one gal who has as a 'reaction' in a place NO ONE should to another gal with a similar problem I feel for you!!

Glad to hear things are improving. I remember the stitches took me 3 months b4 they healed (I dont know why)
and I could pee sitting down!!

Oh my goodness, poor Jenn!

You little trooper. I had a little problem with my stitches healing too, and it must be alot more pain from a natural birth(yours), than from a c-section(mine).

Anna, I think each type of birth has it's own *special* pain...

Just out of curiosity, (if you can remember) how long did it take before you felt like yourself again??
