oops- soc security office - Long Island Weddings

I did it by mail and it was the easiest thing ever. I didn't want to mail my license, so I mailed my passport along with my marriage license and it came back to me in less than two weeks.

Patchogue on a Tuesday afternoon. Took about an hour, but it was so cramped. I can only imagine what it will be like once everyone floods back to it.

wow :(

i think in general offices in riverhead are less crowded than most of the island, she will probably try there.

when the gov't gets its crapola together you should tell your wife to try that! Would save her a trip and aggravation!

oops- soc security office - Long Island Weddings

I just had this issue too! I went all the way to Jamaica Queens to do mine and there will be no card services until the government is back up and running. I DID successfully do my license change at the DMV this morning. Slowly but surely all the changes will get done!

Re: oops- soc security office

Yes, as long as you have a pre-existing NY state driver's license that is not expired. You just fill out the name change form and bring your old license with a certified marriage license.

Yes. You will need to take a new picture and sign your new name (I really didn't practice). If you have car, bring your original title and they will change that also.

I used my passport with my maiden name. I still have not changed my passport over yet.

They just need a photo ID and proof of address. I couldn't send my license, since I needed to drive, so I sent my passport.

When you got o the DMV you need to bring your new social security card and marriage license.
