OOT bags again - sorry girls!

so I was in michaels yesterday, and picked up 13 bags (they came in a pack of 13) they were actually the cheapest I found (even online!) I got 40% off too..
ANYWAY - how od you know hwo many to get... obv, once it gets closer to the day of you will know how many rooms are blocked, and its 1 per room I am guessing... but I am thinking we should stock extras incase some people on a whim check in that day.

and I also want to have them set up and have everythign purchased so i just stuff them a few weeks before hand. how should I estimate?

No idea... I've been wondering about that too...I have a ton of OOT guests but I'm realizing that more of them have friends on LI that they plan on crashing with then I realized. You could stalk the hotel a bit (call them every so often and find out how many rooms have booked) and/or if they are people you a comfortable enough with just ask some of them if they plan on getting a room to help with your estimate. Thats all I can think of

thats my problem too. I have had people asking me that I never would have thought would stay at the hotel what the rate is etc so they can call and book. and then OOT guests that are staying with friends here or something like that.. so I am all messed up now! lol

I do have to call the hotel anyway to open more rooms if 10 are taken, which sucks b/c they wont open up more once 10 are booked. I have to tell them to (stupidest thing ever IMO) lol

My MOH had OOT bags this past weekend.... and she ended up doing everything like the week before but it was really easy.

Your hotel room black should close a month before your wedding date - so by then you should have an idea of how many people will be staying at the hotel.

If there was a room of 4 people she made 1 bag w/ enough stuff for 4 people.

If it was a room of 2 people she made 1 bag w/ enough stuff for 2 people.

She had tags made that said thank you - and she wrote a number on the corner noting how many people that bag would be for. So if it was a bag for a room of four she put a (4) on the corner. She then wrote a list of the peoples names and which numbered bag they should get and left it all with the front desk.

You dont need one per person, really only for each couple or room.

As for the stuff and the amount to buy - she started late until she had an idea of how many people would actually stay in the hotel.
