Just trying to figure out if it's absolutely necessary to make up a basket for each OOT person in the blocked rooms. If you don't think it's necessary, then should I do something small in its place, like an itinerary or something?

Re: OOT baskets--are they a necessity?
I would do something. People are coming in and spending the money over night for your wedding. Its a nice gesture to do something for them. I would at least give them some water in a bag. Its often hard for OOT guests to get water and they really need it when they get home. FIY I have been to about 16 weddings as an OOT guest and only one did not have welcome bags, and while I didn't think it was rude, I was very surprised and a few of my friends were actually upset.

My gf did a great oot basket. I think her trick was bulk. She prob went to cosco, bought 20 of everything. That makes it much cheaper and less craziness. She did a local wine, and sparkling water, and cork screw, two plastic wine glasses, nuts, and chocolates. It was simple and perfect!
