Do you pay for airfare AND hotel? Or just one or the other or neither? Does the groom pay for his side and the bride pay for hers?

We didn't pay for either. We actually had two of the girls stay at our house one night but then they wanted to go stay at the hotel with everyone else. We did pay for some other stuff though. We paid for their hair and nails.
eta: I think it is up to you and if you have the money if you want to pay for them. With the cost of weddings and flights and hotels today, I don't think any of them will really expect you to pay for them.

I wouldn't pay for anything. I've been an OOT bridesmaid before, and I've always paid my own way.

For my friend, I paid for her dress and hotel. She is paying for her airfare. The other two OOT BMs are FH's sisters and they paid for everything themselves.

as of now we are not paying for anyone's travel and/or accommodations. we will be covering dress and partial tux costs for everyone.

i was one- twice
firs time- It was my cousin, I was 19, in college, I was the MOH- no bms, she offered to pay for everything-dress, hair, makeup, airfare & let me stay at her apt., but there was some back & forth bewteen her mom & mom & i think things were split.
The 2nd one, I was the only OOT bm, 4 other girls, all family-local, she offered to let me stay at her house, but we payed for hotel. FH drove. ( to CT- about 2 hours away)
mine are both OOT- same cousin- i thnk she is paying for airfare, and will stay with her parents. ( she probabaly would have visited sometime this year anyway) the otehr one is from NJ (about 2 hours away) & also a cousin & her family will probably all get a hotel room. If she was coming alone, she'd stay with me at my mom's I guess. She's only in HS.

We are paying for our best man's hotel room, but that's it. The other GM is paying for his own.

We are paying for a hotel room for the OOT girls (2 rooms since one is married)
My understanding is it is BP responsibility for travel and the B and GM responisbility for putting them up if they are going to do anything.
FH is best man in a wedding in Nov and he says he would be surprised if he was helped with room or travel expenses

bp pays for their own travel expenses - it says so in my guide for the stupid bride ( which by the way i couldnt live without )
