I spent the day yesterday looking at hotels for my oot guest to stay in. First I went to The Executive Inn in Woodbury. The parking lot is very small and tight and the rooms are nothing special. In fact, the room they showed us smelled musty. We then went to the Inn at Plainview alongside the service road of the LIE. What a difference. The rooms were beautiful and the customer service was great. The only downside was the restaurant area was so small and we would have to get a private room and pay more $$ to get all our guests together for breakfast at the same time. Otherwise it would have been perfect. The Hilton on Route 110 was also very nice. We didnt get to see any rooms but I'm sure they were nice. The customer service there also was great. They had a larger restaurant area and could section off an area for my family (40 people). The last one we went to was the Melville Marriot. This was our favorite. The rooms were nice and they had an actual restauarant, not just an area in the lobby, to eat in. The customer service was also great. I was quoted $129 a room for all of the 3 nice hotels. The Executive Inn I was quoted $99 for a king and $109 for a double and all I have to say is you get what you pay for.
I hope this helps some of you currently looking for a nice hotel to stay.

Re: OOT Hotel Review
I never stayed in the Executive Inn but I know they provide a free shuttle. Do any of those hotels that you mentioned offer a free shuttle?

The Executive Inn has a free shuttle. The Hilton charges $350 + gratuity for each shuttle. The Inn at Plainview said they are in the process of getting their own complementary shuttle and I did not speak with a sales associate at the Marriott so I dont know if their shuttle is free, but they do have one.

We are also using the Huntington Hilton, they were sooo nice. Our rates are $130/night (but it's June, and it was $20 cheaper than any other place I looked).
Also, if we get our whole block of rooms booked, our suite is free.
We are also doing a brunch the morning after for the OOT guests in a private room.
Plus the bar is open til 2am but they will keep it open later if there are a lot of people still there.

I as well as my OOT will be staying at the Melville Marriott the weekend of my wedding (at the Crest Hollow CC). They do not offer a free shuttle service for your guests but will provide you with the names of shuttle services they recommend.
Hope this Helps...

We are doing the Four Points Sheraton in Plainview. I never saw it, since I live out in LA, but FMIL said that they recently renovated and it looks great. They are charging $129 a night, I think they throw in a the bridal suite free as well.
