You can do it for the Saves or shortly thereafter.. They may ask your relatives what's the deal too if you don't have it in the Saves.
I put it with my STD's so people could book the rooms that they want. Also, because mine is on a holiday weekend I just wanted people to be able to book early. I am also re sending it with the invitation. I say if you have the hotel info send it with the STD

We just put the info on our website so people can get the information if they want to book rooms now. The info will also be included in the actual invitations.
I'm including a little card with my STDs so ppl can book/plan their weekend ahead of time. Otherwise they would have to wait until next august to find out about the hotel block
we have a wedding website, and we added it to the bottom of the std's. the website has all the wedding info, including hotel info
I added it in with our Save the dates. This way people knew about it so if they wanted to book a room they could. I'll also add it to the invite
We sent our accommodation info with our STDs... no one booked until we sent out the invitations but at least they had the option.
I think you can do it either way.. or both.. I wanted to do it with the STD's but I sent them 13 months in advance and couldn't guarantee any hotel information at the time.. I would do it with the STD if I has the chance, and would also remind them with an insert in the wedding invite
