OOT question

OOT question

Ladies,

1)If you booked a block of rooms at a hotel did they ALL give you a discount, or was it just the courtesy of blocking rooms together?

2) Is it reasonable for us to block rooms at a hotel that has a shuttle to both JFK and LGA and is 2 miles from our reception/ceremony location and expect guests to transport themselves via cab to and from? Or should we be spending hundreds of dollars to shuttle people 2 miles when it would cost 4 people $6 to get to the catering hall from the hotel?

Thanks!

Re: OOT question

I received a discount for blocking the rooms. The discount was larger depending on the number of rooms blocked. As far as I know, that was the hotel's policy.

I don't think it is unreasonable to have your guests provide their own transportation. After all, you can practically walk to your reception! I would just make sure that someone at your reception hall is available to call cabs for your guests.
