OOT's with guests?

I am flying in my best friend from Colorado for my wedding (he is originally from NY). He will not know a lot of people at our wedding- maybe two or three. Should I invite him with a guest? I can't afford to pay for his guests flight and hotel too (if they are OOT), but I don't think he would invite anyone from NY. I just don't want him to feel out of place and awkward. On the other hand, if he is coming ALL the way out here for me, I feel like he is entitled to one.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I would invite him with a guest, but not pay for the guest's flight and/or hotel.

I would probably do the same as the previous poster--invite him with a guest, but it would be up to your friend and/or his guest to pay for her travel.

That way the ball is in their court--at least you extended the invitation for him to bring a guest!

On another note, I think it is very thoughtful and generous of you to fly him in for your special occasion!

Would invite with guest, that is however, more than generous. You are in no way obligated to pay for any of his/their expenses.

I would invite him with one. We are inviting the OOT's with a guest. Our friends that dont have steady signinficant others by the time the invites go out are being invited solo because they all know eachother
