OOT Things to do

I want to include in my OOT bags a pamphlet of some sort listing things to do in the area. I am having trouble visualizing how I want it to look. Any suggestions? Could anyone post pics if they ahve already done this?

I just had a page on my wedding website with links...and did it by category like Shopping, Dining, Sight Seeing, Wine Tasting...and then basics like Grocery Store, Pharmacy, 7-11...

We recently went to a wedding in Boston & they just had a piece of paper with the stuff typed up listing addresses & quick directions.

Okay - the Chateau is in Lindenhurst...let me think on this - i used to live there....

DEFINITELY include info about Adventureland - it's not far from any hotel.

Maybe Dave & Busters - since that took over Jillian's slot in the Airport Plaza.

Include a few nice dinner places maybe - on 110 as well.

Again - let me think a little on this - i'll post again...

The movie theatres in Farmingdale.

Maybe the Sunrise Mall - some people like to do the mall walking thing in the summer because it's too hot to walk outside...or some people just like to shop!

For the younger crowd & people willing to drive - there's the Blue Point Brewery in Blue Point...out near Selden...they make a fantastic Blueberry beer my FH can't get enough of.

Also include info on any public golf courses nearby? I know golfing is always a good options for guys during the day while the girls get all dressed up!

If you go to the Long Island Visitor's Bureau they have a free book with things to do on LI, maybe you could get some more ideas from that.

I put together 6 pages worth of info to put in the OOT bags. It's got addresses, phone numbers, hours & directions for Musuems/Attractions, Entertainment, Bars/Clubs & Restaurants that are local to the hotel. If you'd like a copy, just FM me your email address and I'll pass it along

ETA: 'The hotel' is the Huntington Hilton

Oh wow, what a great idea. I was also going to call the NYC information center and they will give brochures or information on NYC with coupons and other booklets in case your guests are planning on hitting the city. Include train schedules too.
