Ok So it seems that I have overlooked one small thing. (or one big thing actually) I really didn't consider all our guests from Connecticut as out of towners. I considered, Poland, Canada, FLorida and chicago out of towners. But yesterday we went to CT to meet with a couple of friends and they were asking about hotels there.... Ok we were originally thinking of getting them a coach bus to get them to and from ct to brooklyn adn li... but it seems that they'd prefer to stay at the hotel. So this is where i screwed up... I didnt even think of this... My invites went out yesterday morning ( just my luck) and i didnt put in any info about the holiday inn. I only had the direction cards from CB and on the other side of that there is info on the Fox Hollow Inn,,, but thats too far. Now im afraid that my guests will get confused and might book there. But im also thinking to kinda pass things on and say that the Holiday Inn is available. (I have to call the sales office tomorrow and figure something out) if the rooms are regularly 171 - what do you think the rate can be for a room block? thanks ladies . i feel like i overlooked this thing and i dont even know how bc im trying to think of everything

Re: OOTers- Question- kinda long
You can send out an OOT Guide e-mail or just spread word-of-mouth.
We blocked hotel rooms at La Quinta (used to be Wingate Garden City)

Call up the hotel and get a room block ASAP. You should get a good rate. Once you do that, call all the people you invited outside of NY and let them know about the hotel that's available and the rate and when they need to book by.

Each hotel will be different. You really have to call them up to see their group rate.
