this is a stupid question but can anyone go to open houses? we dont want to buy a house for a few months but i want to go look so i know what i want and such....does the real estate agents ask you a bunch of stuff at open houses or you can just go in and out?

hahah anyone can go to an open house. You view the house, ask any questions about the house, if you like it, you can make an offer, if not just leave. There was this one open house I went to look at, I walked in and walked out with no question bec there was this really bad smell, I was going to puke, lolol

yes you can go .. they will probalby ask if you are preapproved just nod your head.. You don't have to tell these agents anything

I am a re agent part time and typically when you go to an open house you have to sign the guest register so they know who came into the house. Technically you are supposed to sign disclosure forms as well but no one does that.
You can write a fake name and number cuz they dont id you lol.
Sometimes agents are real annoying and they call all the time.
What i do for people i help out is give them my business cards and when they go into an open house give it to the agent and tell them that they are represented by me and then the agent will show them around but doesnt call and harrass them.
If you know any re agents you can try that.
If you dont have someones business card when you go in you can say i am represented by so and so i just dont have their card and they werent able to make it.
THis way it eliminates them harrassing you cuz alot of them do that lol
