I'm working on the scrapbook for the LIW contest and I wanted to represent some more people whose picture I might not have. So I wanted to work on the power of words and was hoping that you could help. Please only post positive comments - I respect your opinions but I'm looking for help with a project and would prefer not to lose this thread. Thanks!

LIW was a place where I felt welcome whether it was a place to vent my fears and frustrations or to share my ideas. I was always able to count on positive feedback from my fellow brides. And now, I still have a place to come to dispense advice and share my wonderful memories of my perfect day! Thanks to everyone!

Long Island Weddings is like the bridesmaid I don't have...not like I have bad bridesmaids, that is not it, but my three girls are all around the states, so LIW has really been the biggest help with planning our wedding. Advice, tips, pictures, laughter, jokes, you name it, LIW has it.

I've learned so much from the other brides on this board. From what 'pitfalls' to avoid, to a must see vendor. Some of the ideas that are shared here are ideas I most definitely intend to use.

LIW is a wonderful place for advice about vendors and locations from other women going through the same process. It is easy to feel alone in the planning when the FH is not as helpful as I had hoped ;), or when the FMIL is complaining about my choices. It is a great way to vent with people who are also going through it!

I love the fact that I know if I have a question they are here for me and will have an answer!! I also love all of the different ideas and comments LIW has. It's weird but I feel like I really know all of these girls LIW has become my life

i feel the same way...what will i do when the wedding is over? yeah, i know there are other boards, but bhb and 04 brides, those helped me soooooo much!!! but nwr keeps me laughing.

I am planning from out of state, and without this site I would be lost. all of the people on this site, have been so helpful, and honest. I also just enjoy chatting with all of you. It's not just a site for wedding planning, its all about life.. anything you need you can pretty much get opinions and suggestions from this site.. from what to have for dinner, to what to wear to a formal affair..

Great feedback - I'm in the scrapbook contest too, and while I've been making notes on similar thoughts, you have all helped solidify the ideas and put different views on the support and help you've gotten from LIW.
