you can wear a strappy open toed shoe or sandal any time for a formal event in my opinion.

I think you can def. wear open toe...at any time actually
unless your feeties are always cold, like mine. which is why i'm wearing closed lol

Closed toe for me -- but I have a thing with wedding gowns and opened toes. I know the majority does this but I just can't. Its my own weird issue.
