Is it ok to do this?? Is it tacky?? I wanted to wear open toe shoes, but I also wanted to wear stockings… hmmmmmm

You can actually buy stockings for open-toed shoes. I got a pair for a wedding I was in at Blums in Patchogue. Good luck!

Honestly, no one is going to see them, so do what you want and what your comfortable with.
No one ever saw my shoes until I sat down to do the garter removal.

spanx makes toeless/footless stockings if you feel that you really want to wear stockings.

I do it all the time and will on the day of the wedding.....just don't buy the ones with the re-enforced toe get the ones that are not re-enforced and will look natural too. I personally feel wearing stockings is more comfortable especially since we will be in heels for a long day.

I always say do what you want to do.
My personal opinion(and I emphasize MY)..I don't like it. Its a faux paux in my world and I don't like the look. If you are going to do open toe and walk to wear hose or stockings, spanx and another brand makes those toeless ones.
I personally would only wear hose with close toes.
But do what makes you happy and comfortable.

If you were wearing a shorter dress, I'd say don't do it, but with a longer dress it won't matter b/c no one will see it. But the spanx footless stockings are also a great option. I wore them at my e-party. Plus, they suck everything in real nice. Haha.

do whatever makes you feel more comfortable. try the stockings w/the open toe and wear them around for a day to see if you are comfortable with them.

I know this is an old post, but IMO the open toed stockings are like wearing a pair of really tight flip flops! If you wear a sandal toe stocking you should be alright
ETA: Noone is going to see your feet so it doesn't make much difference
