Is it okay to still wear open toed shoes now? Obviously you can wear what you want but what does etiquette say these days??

Of course you can still wear them, I do until it gets cooler out--I think they used to say not to wear white after Labor Day--but I still see people wearing white--

My mother is wearing open toe shoes for the wedding because it makes her comfy and gives her room so her feet can expand. I won't but thats my choice. I need to wear panty hose with my dress and I hate the look of panty hose with open toe shoes - I have used open toe hose but not on my wedding night - my feet WILL show as my dress does not pouf out.
