I would go with May 9th, since people tend to go away for Memorial Day weekend.

Its tough...Memorial Day weekend, on long island, is usually a weekend packed with stuff to do, since it is the kick-off of the beach season. Mother's Day weekend is just Sunday. I would go with Mother's Day weekend.....JMO

same here, you may also have higher hotel rates for your oot guests since its a higher travel weekend as opposed to mothers day, since memorial day is a 3 day weekend. hth

I would prob go with mothers day weekend. A lot of people go away memorial day and there will be A LOT of traffic. Either one you chose though the important people will defintiely be there no matter what.

I would say Mother's Day weekend--a lot of people go away for Memorial Day. Mother's Day is just a day, it's not a 'weekend' if you know what I mean. If you're having a Friday night wedding it doesn't affect Mother's Day, but it does affect the whole Memorial Day weekend.
