opinion on RD please
FH parents to my surprise mentioned that they looked at a place for the RD. I didn't expect them too b/c of things that would take forever to explain. Anyway - FH mom asked how many in bridal party. when FH told her 4 BM and 4 ushers and the the ring bearer and flowergirl. She gasped. Then she states she looked at a place that is 20 minutes east from my church. I thought they were just looking but it seems that she is set on it. Even though we explained that the RD is on a Thursday night and it may be a bit out of the way. This place isnt even offering a great price. Its $27/pp.
Plus we have a lot of out of towners in the Bridal party and I can't just invite the member and tell the spouse its Mcdies time. So, FH mentioned this and offered to pay for it ourselves which of course she is okay with it.
It just bothers me that she is so uncompromising. When FH mentioned that maybe it would be easier on everyone if the restaurant was closer she replied how am I going to find one there. Its not like were in two different towns.
am i wrong??? Should I insist on a different place.
I guess my family is different we like to get people to gether where as his family or I should say his parents are minimalist. They are not even including the only living grandparent, his grandfather. My FH always tells me everything turns into a big thing with me and my family. But that is how we kept a close family knit. Anyway, sorry for the long vent. It feels good to get it out.
