Is it a kind of distressed-looking wood? It looks a bit like that from the picture. If it is, my opinion is that that kind of wood never looks clean. Again, JMO.

I think the layout and style is beautiful. But I'm not really feeling the distressed look. I think it also depends on the style and colors of the rest of the house.

I love combining different woods, I definately like the lighter island with the neutral cabinets.

think about the fact that distressed may be kinda out of style one day. You don't want to regret it down the road. You may like it that much to get it, then get it, but I would think about doing something more classic.
But in terms of color, I love it!

I love the layout of the kitchen & the style of the cabinets, but I agree with the othee girls who said that the type of wood looks outdated.

It's really tough to say whether those cabinets will work or not.
Yeah they look great in the photo, but will they work with your kitchen, only you can say. There's just so much more to it.
Are you planning on redesigning your kitchen around the cabinet style & color?

I really like it but I might go with a darker brown for the granite? I think this would provide a nice contrast with a lighter floor.

I guess I don't understand what you mean. We are redoing the entire kitchen. We are going to get stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The walls are all going to be painted.

Are you asking for opinions on the kitchen shown in the photo? Are you recreating that kitchen in your home?
Or are you just asking opinions on the cabinets?

Oh...
I wanted opinions on the cabinets for our own kitchen. We are changing the design that we currently have, but the new layout is not based on the picture I posted.

Something else that would look nice is a hand-painted mural on that hood above the stove. That info about the kitchen designer I FM'd you ealier had this done in many of his photos. Came out really nice, and added color and a personal touch.
