We are redoing the kitchen and I need to make a decision this weekend. What do you guys think of this cabinet/color combination?
I went tonight to Home Expo and took a look at it. While I am nervous about making the wrong decision, I decided that I am going to go with it. I like dark wood a lot but everyone is telling me I will regret it because the kitchen will look too dark. So I am going to go with it. The rest of the house is going to be decorated with furniture from Domain. I am going for a shabby chic/french country feel. So hopefully it will all work together.

I love this look and believe it is very classic....great choice..
i think its a nice design and the cabinets dont look distressed to me its the type of finish they used it looks like a glaze. i think its very nice and will go well with the look your going for. the best advice i can give you being a kitchen designer myself is think about the type of space you have and what is most important to you. if your a chef you will want a lot of work space and drawers to keep products in. if your looking for showplace kitchen and it doesnt have to be as practical then possibilities are endless. i think you should go with whatever you think your going to be happy with. i just put maple cabinets in my kitchen and if you like the grain and color variation it looks so nice. good luck
