I'm looking for a fairly simple veil with some beading and/or crystals but am so lazy about going out to look for one. What are your opinions about purchasing one online? Do you think I should just get off my butt and actually go into the stores? For those that have purchased a veil online, is the quality less of what you'd expect in a retail store? TIA for your help ladies!

Re: Opinion on Veils
it will be easy bc they make it for you. So you can tell them exactly what you want and this way you dont have to go running around from store to store going crazy. I went to one store, told her what i wanted, tried on a few to see which i liked best on me and then after picked which style and gave her a swatch of my dress and thats it. Like i said, they make them so you can go to just one place and tell them exactly what you want

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing- i went into stores and didn't find anything i loved but keep finding unique things that looks so pretty online... just not sure of the legitimacy of the websites i'm looking at or the quality- as you said. let me know if you come across anything worth looking at online, i'd love to know as well! good luck

Re: Opinion on Veils
I got mine at the bridal store where I bought my dress. I felt I had to try on the veil with my dress to make sure it looked good together and good on me. i may have overpayed a bit but it seemed easier for me then buying online.

Same here...to me it was worth the peace of mind.

Re: Opinion on Veils
I bought my veil on Ebay but it was a specific style sold at a bridal store that I wanted. It was still pretty pricey at $70 but cheaper than the $200 that it retails for.

If you are in the city, I really loved Bridal Veil Falls on 9th street. I wrote about her in my review!

Re: Opinion on Veils
Well, I am debating whether I want to get my veil at Tri-County, but so many girls rave about it. I am pretty sure they do customized veils, too. I would rather get my veil from a bridal store than a flea market...I guess it just sounds cheap to me. But other than Tri County, I have no idea where else to go.

Same here, i actually ordered one online for $15 and it was not what i expected at all. I didn't want to spend a lot on a veil, but I realized what a big difference it makes when you try them on with the dress. I ended up buying it at the dress place, it was expensive, but i loved it and didn't take it off until we got to the hotel that night!
