the other day I asked my stepsister to email me addresses for her aunts and uncle. She emailed me those along with addresses for her in laws. I explained to her that I was not planning to invite them and left it at that. Today I talked to her online and she was basically demanding that I invite them. That would be an extra 6 people plus I would have to invite my fiances sisters in laws which would be another 6, and I told her I just cant do it. She is totally being rude about it and I am sooo upset. Then my father called me and told me about it as well and he always asks me why I cant just get married where she got married. Our guest list is already way over the limit and budget and I explained to them both nicely that I would have to see the RSVPs before I can invite anymore people. Am I being unreasonable here? the basic thing that I am upset with is that she 'invited them' to my wedding? I just dont get it! Advice please.....

Ok if her name is not on the invite she has no right to invite anyone to UR wedding...Tell her no and keep it moving. This is not her wedding. Tell your father in a nice way that you are not her and u do not want to get married there and really do not want to keep answering the same questions!
And ur step sister is being disrespectful by demanding seats at ur reception unless she's paying for them!

I cant believe what people demand of us to do for OUR OWN wedding! I ended up inviting my future brother in laws girlfriends mom and grandma!
I had room so I started telling people invite who you want..but you have to pay for them! That usually worked! You could try that?

You are not being unreasonable! I keep telling people, not only do I not want to spend a ton on my guest list, but I want my wedding on the smaller side. I don't care how many the room can hold, I will decide how many it will hold that day!!

You are not being unreasonable. FSIL told her friend (that i've met maybe 4 times) that she was invited and she most definitely is not. She keeps telling FH that HE needs to tells her she's not invited. It's not his responsibility!
